Week 10 in the NFL proved to be quite the difficult one to predict and all systems struggled this week trying to pick the game winners.
Creative Misfortune's Home/Away PPY formula won the week, picking 8 out of 14 games correctly for an average 57% accuracy.
Second best showing of the week went to the Vegas Lines and the blind Home Team Wins systems, both of which only managed to pick 7 out of 14 games correctly for a below average 50% accuracy.
Creative Misfortune's Overall PPY stumbled, only picking 6 out of 14 games correctly for a poor 42.9% accuracy.
The upsets over the weekend really hurt the prediction prowess of the blind Best Record Wins system as only 4 of the NFL teams with better records won their games this week against "inferior" opponents. The 4 out of 14 result, only 28.6% accurate, was the worst result turned in by any system during any given week this season.
All systems look to rebound with their picks next week as we near the end of the NFL's bye weeks...
Check back tomorrow for Week 10 "If Real Football Used Fantasy Scoring..." results will be posted on Wednesday. How many teams improved their fantasy records this week, despite losing in real life?
