Season Recap - 2013 Baltimore Ravens

Baltimore Ravens

Final Record: 8-8
Finished: 3rd Place in the AFC North
2014 Draft Position: 17th

Preseason Ranking: 15

Week 1: Lost at the Denver Broncos, 49-27
    Ranked - 29
The defending Super Bowl Champions have a lot to prove following their opening night loss to the Broncos.

Week 2: Defeated the Cleveland Browns, 14-6
    Ranked - 23
Rice is hurt, but the Ravens managed to win. The defense is too inexperienced now for them to win games only scoring 14 points. Flacco better get this offense moving sooner rather than later.

Week 3: Defeated the Houston Texans, 30-9
    Ranked - 13
The Ravens scored 30 points without a running game. What is this world coming to?

Week 4: Lost at the Buffalo Bills, 23-20
    Ranked - 14
Despite the huge contract, Flacco still needs a running game in order to be effective.

Week 5: Defeated the Miami Dolphins, 26-23
    Ranked - 12
The Ravens are finding ways to win, but they can't keep this up forever and are still going to be hard pressed to make the playoffs.

Week 6: Lost to the Green Bay Packers, 19-17
    Ranked - 16
The Ravens aren't going to repeat as Super Bowl champions if they keep dropping games at home.

Week 7: Lost at the Pittsburgh Steelers, 19-16
    Ranked - 18
The Ravens just can't find the right gear on offense.

Week 8: BYE WEEK
    Ranked - 18
The Ravens have to come charging out of the bye if they hope to catch Cincinnati.

Week 9: Lost at the Cleveland Browns, 24-18
    Ranked - 21
These are not the 2012 Super Bowl Champion Baltimore Ravens.

Week 10: Defeated the Cincinnati Bengals, 20-17
    Ranked - 17
The Ravens of old never would have let that game get into overtime. KNOCK THE BALL DOWN!

Week 11: Lost at the Chicago Bears, 23-20
    Ranked - 20
A tough loss in Chicago certainly puts a damper on Baltimore's bid to repeat as Super Bowl champions.

Week 12: Defeated the New York Jets, 19-3
    Ranked - 17
Without an offense, the Ravens have no shot of making the playoffs, let alone repeating as Super Bowl champions.

Week 13: Defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers, 22-20
    Ranked - 15
A huge win over the Steelers Thanksgiving night has given the Ravens hope for the playoffs afterall.

Week 14: Defeated the Minnesota Vikings, 29-26
    Ranked - 16
It looks like Baltimore is in a dogfight with Miami for a Wild Card spot, but they will have to win out to have a real shot at defending their Super Bowl championship in the postseason.

Week 15: Defeated the Detroit Lions, 18-16
    Ranked - 13
JUSTIN TUCKER! As clutch as any kicker has ever been in the regular season. He just might kick the Ravens into the playoffs.

Week 16: Lost to the New England Patriots, 41-7
    Ranked - 13
The Ravens can sneak into the playoffs as a wild card if they win and Miami or San Diego loses.

Week 17: Lost at the Cincinnati Bengals, 34-17

Final Ranking: 18

Tomorrow, the 2013 New York Jets...
