Season Recap - 2013 Green Bay Packers

Green Bay Packers

Final Record: 8-7-1 (0-1)
Finished: 1st Place in the NFC North
2014 Draft Position: 21st

Preseason Ranking: 11

Week 1: Lost at the San Francisco 49ers, 34-28
    Ranked - 21
The Packers showed some spit and fire, but were still overmatched by the 49ers.

Week 2: Defeated the Washington Redskins, 38-20
    Ranked - 9
The Packers have the potential to dominate again this season. Interesting to see how they match up with the Bears when these two division rivals collide to determine who wins the NFC North title.

Week 3: Lost at the Cincinnati Bengals, 34-30
    Ranked - 16
The Packers are quickly falling into must-win territory with the Bears still undefeated and the Lions playing strong.

Week 4: BYE WEEK
    Ranked - 22
The worst part about Green Bay's bye week? The Lions and Bears played each other and now the Packers are two games out of first place in the win column.

Week 5: Defeated the Detroit Lions, 22-9
    Ranked - 17
Green Bay still has a way to go, but a solid victory over the Lions has them moving in the right direction.

Week 6: Defeated the Baltimore Ravens, 19-17
    Ranked - 11
Big wins on the road are always good. The Packers need the wins in the division, though, in order to make it to the playoffs.

Week 7: Defeated the Cleveland Browns, 31-13
    Ranked - 9
With the Bears, Lions and Vikings all stumbling and beat up now, who doesn't see the Packers taking control of the division during the second half of the season?

Week 8: Defeated the Minnesota Vikings, 44-31
    Ranked - 9
Despite Detroit's prowess, Green Bay remains the team to beat in the NFC North.

Week 9: Lost to the Chicago Bears, 27-20
    Ranked - 13
Ouch! The Packers lose Aaron Rodgers and suddenly become a very beatable football team.

Week 10: Lost to the Philadelphia Eagles, 27-13
    Ranked - 15
Injuries have ruined Green Bay's season. Will Aaron Rodgers return before the damage is too much for the Packers to overcome?

Week 11: Lost at the New York Giants, 27-13
    Ranked - 15
The Packers are proving just how valuable Aaron Rodgers is to their team.

Week 12: Tied the Minnesota Vikings, 26-26
    Ranked - 15
Because they were so far behind, a tie is as good as a win… but then they had the lead in the final minutes of the game and failed to hold on to it, so the tie is as good as loss, too.

Week 13: Lost at the Detroit Lions, 40-10
    Ranked - 19
The Packers have all but lost the season. If they lose once more, they might as well shut Aaron Rodgers down completely and bring him back 100% healthy in 2014.

Week 14: Defeated the Atlanta Falcons, 22-21
    Ranked - 18
Rodgers is still on the mend, which does not bode well for Green Bay's playoff hopes.

Week 15: Defeated the Dallas Cowboys, 37-36
    Ranked - 17
The Packers are doing everything they possibly can to keep the light on until Rodgers is ready to come back and play.

Week 16: Lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers, 38-31
    Ranked - 17
The playoff picture for the Packers is very simple - beat the Bears to win the NFC North or lose and go home.

Week 17: Defeated the Chicago Bears, 33-28
    Ranked - 12
The Packers may be far better than their 8-7-1 record with Aaron Rodgers back at the helm, but they needed a miracle to get by Chicago. San Francisco won't be nearly so easy to handle.

Wild Card Round: Lost to the San Francisco 49ers, 23-20

Final Ranking: 12

Tomorrow, the 2013 Philadelphia Eagles...
