Tons of teams scored a lot of fantasy points this week, while other teams, normally considered to be fantasy juggernauts, fell by the wayside unexpectedly.
In week 4, only the Pittsburgh Steelers managed to win a fantasy game they lost in real life.
High score of the week goes to the New York Giants, who scored 116 points against the Washington Redskins on Thursday night. Also of note, seven other teams generated more than 100 fantasy points this weekend: Kansas City Chiefs (114), Indianapolis Colts (113), Baltimore Ravens (109), San Diego Chargers (108), Dallas Cowboys (108), Minnesota Vikings (107), and the Green Bay Packers (105).
Low score falls to the New England Patriots at 38 points, who were unable to score enough fantasy points to beat the real 41 points the Kansas City Chiefs scored against them. The Jacksonville Jaguars also only scored 38 fantasy points this weekend, but they at least managed to get above the real 33 points the San Diego Chargers scored. In addition to these two inept showings, the Washington Redskins failed to score more fantasy points (39) than the real number of points scored against them by the New York Giants (45).
Closest Game of the Week: Houston Texans 67, Buffalo Bills 66. It took every fantasy point the Texans could muster to defeat the upstart Buffalo Bills. The 133 combined fantasy points scored in this game were the fewest scored by two teams this week. I hope you benched all your Texans and Bills.
Fantasy Star of the Week: Eli Manning, 32 points. Little Brother continues to epitomize the "feast-or-famine" concept in fantasy football. If somebody told you Eli threw four interceptions or four touchdowns in a game, would you honestly be surprised either way?
